Ensuring the mental health of residents of the frontline and de-occupied territories affected by the war is one of the main issues today.

This is the opinion of Artem Lysohor, head of the Luhansk Regional Millitary Association.

“There are regions that have been heavily occupied, like Luhansk. There are areas that have been liberated from occupation. And each of them has its own issues that need to be addressed urgently. Of course, these are military and defence issues, as well as the rehabilitation of the military and entire civilian families. This includes the psychological health of affected families and children. These are the most important issues that need to be addressed and more effort should be directed to these areas. The country’s defence capability is the first. The second is the mental health of our citizens. We need them to be worthy and ready to defend their Ukraine”, he said.

Artem Lysogor also stressed that the platform of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine is an important tool for addressing community issues.

“This is probably the best tool for the authorities and the President to communicate with local authorities and resolve the issues that are urgent in each community”, said the head of the Luhansk RMA.
