The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the President of Ukraine is a unique platform that improves and accelerates cooperation between local and central authorities.
This is the opinion of Liliya Pashynna, Head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities of the Council of Europe.
“This is a unique platform that helps both local authorities and central government bodies communicate with each other. And it significantly improves such cooperation and speeds it up. Firstly, because anyone can directly ask questions that arise in the course of work. And they are not only raised, but also resolved”, Pashynna said.
The head of the delegation notes that the authorities are currently facing many issues that differ depending on the region.
Lilia Pashynna also commented on the decision to start negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the European Union. According to her, this is a unique historical event.
