Assistance and support for internally displaced persons is currently one of the most pressing issues for Irpin.
This was announced by the mayor of Irpin, Oleksandr Markushyn.
The mayor of Irpin stressed that the city has so far received 25,000 IDPs. This is the largest number in the Kyiv region. Therefore, during the congress meeting, the issues of cooperation with this category of population were raised.
“Like all communities, an important issue for us is the budget, compensation for accommodation and utilities for internally displaced persons. It is urgent for us. And we heard an answer to it at the meeting”, he said.
Another important issue for the Irpin authorities is the rehabilitation, including psychological rehabilitation, of servicemen returning from the frontline.
Markushyn pointed out that this assistance applies to both wounded soldiers and those with disabilities.
